
Try my delicious fruit and nut bars that are gluten free, wheat free, egg free and dairy free! They are easy to make and not time consuming!
Delicious Fruit and Nut Bars
Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Egg Free, Dairy Free
Makes 12 Square Bars. Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 20 mins
You will need:
150g Golden Syrup
150g dates
50g peanuts
50g walnuts
50g flaked almonds
50g pistachio nuts
150g apricots
75g dairy free butter
½ teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon Body Me Super Energy Powder
1 capful vanilla essence
2 bananas
For the top:
100g white dairy free chocolate
50g dairy free milk or dark chocolate
knob of butter
What to do:
1. Pre-heat the oven to 160°C/140°C Fan.
2. Put golden syrup, butter and dates in a saucepan and gently heat until butter has melted.
3. In a blender, place all the dry ingredients. Add in the bananas and blend.
4. Add the blended ingredients to the saucepan and mix well.
5. Transfer the mixture to a greased and lined 20 by 20cm square cake tin.
6. Cook in the tin for 20 mins and then remove from the tin to cool completely.
7. Melt the butter and white chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water. Once melted pour over the bars.
8. Melt the dark chocolate and make a swirly shape on the top of the white chocolate.
9. Leave to cool.
10. Cut into individual pieces.
