View PostI have been wanting to make some chocolate and cream choux puffs for a while now but was a little apprehensive about how they would turn out as I have never made them before. I kept the ingredients really simple for this recipe, and would highly recommend using the Just Free self raising flour from Lidl. I have been using this for many of my cakes and sweet treats for a while now and I have to say it is one of my favourite flours to use. The Just Free range is good, and I use the plain flour too.
This delicious pineapple and cherry upside down cake was a winner for all my family. I came home after work and my dad had practically eaten half of it! Simple and perfect for the summer season, this cake is delicious on its own or accompanied with some ice cream! Let’s get this summer started!
Is it time for tea? Oh I do love a Victoria sponge cake. One of my very first cakes that I made when I was first diagnosed with coeliac disease was a Victoria sponge. I was lucky enough to receive a cake in a tin last week from a company called Chacon Cakes, who are based in South West London. All cakes are made in a completely gluten free environment and the company specialises in making beautiful mini cakes, that you can create yourself too. I chose to have a chocolate cake base, with the first filling of vanilla cream and the second filling with chocolate ganache. The topping was white chocolate.
