On the first day of christmas my true love gave to me! So for this post I have decided to write about some gift ideas to help you get in the mood for christmas and also quite possibly save you some cash!
1. Mince Pies
Now, I could not have a list without mince pies and I was incredibly surprised to see so many places selling gluten free mince pies. Below are just a few to help you.
Iceland We Love Cake £1.79 Sainsburys £2.25, Morrisons £1.98, Tesco £1.75, Waitrose £2.50, Asda £1.50, Ocado Hale and Hearty Mince Pies £3.79
2. Advent Calendars
Gluten Free advent calendars are not cheap and some that I have tried have just been awful!
I liked the Moo Free Advent Calendar from Morrisons at £3.50
3. Hampers and Gift Boxes
I would love for someone to buy me a hamper! Any takers?
This company sells luxury gluten and dairy free hampers, ranging for £40 to £200. They are beautifully packaged in boxes and baskets and are a real treat for someone who is looking for that special gift for someone.
Not so much a hamper, but a box of goodies. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan friendly. It includes christmas pudding, some earl grey tea, pickle, cookies and chocolate bars for £24.99.
Beautiful gluten free hampers, ranging from £70 upwards. I loved the Festive hamper for £75.
I love this website. Whether you are looking at indulgence hampers, or the smaller, personalised gifts there will be something for you. I particularly liked the gluten free tea time collection by ‘oast to host’ for £30.
M&S Gluten Free Christmas Hamper
This hamper, priced at £40, is a tasty combination for christmas and includes a bottle of Merlot.
4. Gluten Free Books
When I saw the title of this, I burst out laughing. A famous five book for adults, taking the characters from the original stories and tweaking them for modern day. If you like spoof books, then this one’s for you.
Gluten Free on a shoestring Classic Snacks
I follow Nicole Hunn on social media and love her pictures as everything looks so incredible. A lot of the snacks are american, and lots I haven’t heard of, but there are some great recipes in here.
An essential book for anyone who has recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease.
5. Christmas Beauty Gift
Too Faced Merry Kissmas Debenhams
A nice little gift for beauty lovers. This ‘Merry Kissmas’ is a cute little christmas gift with melted longwear lipsticks proved at £22 and products are formulated to be gluten free.
6. Stuffing
Now we can’t have a christmas dinner without stuffing can we?
Mrs Crimbles sage and onion stuffing mix
Mrs crimbles sage and onion stuffing mix is perfect for your christmas dinner and priced at £1.97 from Morrisons.
7. Candles
There are 3 for 2 christmas bargains happening across the nation! I particularly liked the 3 for 2 christmas candles from M & S with the cheapest candle starting at £1.50.
8. Manuka Honey Oil
Another beauty buy, for people who want to keep their skin in tip top condition over the winter months. Manuka honey oil is meant to be incredibly good for the skin, so I will be buying a few of these. Holland and Barrett are doing special offers at the moment with their buy one get one for a penny deal! Grab it quick!
9. Christmas Jumpers
We have all got at least one christmas jumper in our wardrobe, ready to come out in the festive season. With christmas jumper day coming up, why not grab yourself a cool christmas jumper that everyone will envy!
Matalan Mens Jumper Christmas Has Broken me gingerbread man
Matalan Baby’s first christmas
I loved this baby sleep suit, it’s not in your face like a lot of them are, just a cute and simple design with santa and a reindeer!
Next Brown Rudolph Christmas Hooded Jumper
This is for if you really want to stand out from the crowd! £28 from Next.
Kids christmas Grey sequin unicorn jumper
Thought this was incredibly cute, and I know that I definitely would have had this as a child!
The featured Elf outfit (up to 1 month) is a gift for my second nephew, my little Dimitri, from Sainsburys. £7 and the socks were £3.
10. Christmas Albums and Kitsound Earmuffs
Now most of us will get sick of hearing the same christmas tunes over and over again. I love Mariah Carey’s ‘All I want for Christmas’, but after hearing it for the millionth time, it becomes so irritating that I have to resort to wearing earplugs. So this christmas album by Libera, with their lovely angelic voices, should hopefully keep you sane over the christmas period!
If you want these funky kitsound owl earmuffs that are also earphones for iPod, iPhone, iMac etc you can get them at various retailers such as amazon.co.uk
11. Christmas Movies
I love getting into the spirit of christmas by getting all cosy and watching all my favourite christmas movies. The two that I watch all the time are Father Christmas and The Snowman both by Raymond Briggs.
12. Christmas Bedding
And finally, it’s all about the christmas bedding! There are some fabulous christmas bedding designs out there. Here are a few of my favourites.
Achicha Christmas Reindeer Bed Set
This adds a touch of vibrancy to your bedroom. Brushed cotton at £25.
Next Brushed Cotton Animals Bed Set
I love the cute little animal print on this one, available for all bed sizes ranging from £25 to £55.
Phew! What a list! I need to go and sit down with a cup of tea and watch a christmas movie! What is on your christmas wish list this year?
